01 - the subject of the international competition is
‘your way to coway’
.. imagine your life - design your living
participants are requested to submit their designs and concepts for one
or more of the three categories:
a – THE KITCHEN OF TOMORROW (future kitchens)
b – CONVERGENGE OF SPACE (one environment for cooking - dining - living)
c – KITCHEN APPLIANCES (what might be brought to the market in the next 10 years)

02 –奖项
the designers of 12 winning entries will be granted with cash prize awards
- # 1 first prize Euro 8,000
- # 2 second prizes Euro 5,000 each
- # 3 third prizes Euro 3,000 each
- # 6 honorable mentions Euro 1,000 each
winning entries and a selection of the works sent in will be shown
in october in Seul, Korea. in addition a few winners will be invited
in Seul for the event.

BÜSSEL undertakes, in the event that it uses for production one of
the designs submitted for the contest (wholly or in part), to pay a royalty
of annual sales.

04 - 设计要求
please don't send in vague concepts, but go a step further.
as BÜSSEL wishes to produce some of the most interesting projects,
please consider the feasibility of manufacturing.
the jury will award designs and concepts which are innovative in terms of
their formal aspects as well as their functional ones.
projects should not be currently in production !

teams register with one name only
(when submitting works you should add all team member’s names).
there is a maximum enrollment, registration may close prior to that deadline.
we suggest you to register NOW, you have time to prepare your entry until
submission deadline: june 10, 2006.

07 - 提交作品
whether you're an individual or group, you can submit max.3 works.

for each work you will be requested to supply:
1 - up to 3 files (images or a composition of more images) of your project.
please note: use only .gif, .jpeg, (72 dpi) max 100 kb each file.
image size max 600 (width) x 700 (height) pixels.

the tutorial on how reduce the size of your file with photoshop.

2 - explanation of ideas
a brief description of your work.
(english text only, explanation is expected to be concise)
3 - you will be requested to accept the competition guidelines
(competition guidelines:
projects participating to the competition, must be original works.
projects must be free from copyrights and any kind of obligation.
the design shall not in any way infringe any third party’s right,
including but not limited to copyright, logos, trademark, trade names,
or other proprietary rights of publicity or privacy.

08 – 作品提交截止日期
works can be submitted through june 10 2006.
09 - 版权
any moral and paternity right regarding the project sent in for application is
designer’s property.
however,
by submitting a design in the competition, the participant agrees to provide
BÜSSEL with the right of first refusal to the exclusive use of the design.
this option is valid until 31 december 2006.
in the event that BÜSSEL exercises the option to use the rights for production
on an exclusive basis and sine die (without time limitations),
BÜSSEL undertakes to pay a a royalty of annual sales.
and,
by participating in the competition, all participants authorise designboom
and Cow by NSR to publish and exhibit all the designs (including project data submitted)
– waiving compensation – at exhibitions and events and/or to use them in any
publications that the organisers may deem suitable and/or necessary.
