LIGHTOUCH是由新加坡设计理事会组织的一个国际化的设计竞赛，面向所有的设计者和非设计者、专业人员或学生。

What is such a lighting system?

It used to be that being at the right place and the right time was the ultimate ’trick’ to perfect. Many still try. But most soon realise that it is more of a gamble,
and that much of life is what you make it to be. Designers know that. Design not only solves problems, but can also change the way we see and understand the
world around us. Not just "how" but "why not?" Everyone should always be able to ’design’ his own environment. To change it, and be changed by it.
Lightouch is a quest for such a creative and interactive live-work-play environment that is shaped by a unique non-intrusive lighting system. It is about using light for its full spectrum of qualities. Less about lamps as technology, though inextricable from the form of light they shape.

Entries must be original works of entrants and must not have previously been released commercially. There is no limit to number of entries, and registration is free.
All employees from Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts and FLOS are not allowed to enter the competition.

The Lightouch competition is open to all designers and non-designers, professionals or students; nobody has a monopoly over good ideas.

Please register online at www.designsingapore.org/lightouch and attach the registration form with each submission.
There is no limit to the number of submissions, but each submission has to be separately registered.
Submissions must be sent by mail in no more than three A3 (420 x 297mm) printed mounted on 5mm hard board. All entries must be submitted with softcopies in CD-rom format and printed registration form from the website or the official registration form attached. Submitted images must be in ‘jpeg’ or ‘tiff’ format at 300 dpi.
Participants have the liberty of choosing their preferred method of representation of their design, incorporating a brief written description not exceeding 500
words explaining the concept, innovative aspect, application, function and interactive aspects. A 3D representation of the design is required.
There should be no names on each submission to ensure the anonymity of the participants during the judging process. Any additional information
submitted other than stipulated will not be credited into judging process.

· Creativity in application of the concept of illumination
· Cohesiveness with the theme

奖励.
The top entry will win the grand prize of a trip to Milan on business class and a learning tour to the FLOS factory.
The designers for the eight best entries will be invited to Singapore in June 2007 for a prototyping workshop conducted by FLOS.
